Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. butter
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 3 bottles almond extract
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/8 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 5 eggs

Instructions

  1. Grease pans well, then flour them.
  2. Cream together the butter, margarine, and Crisco.
  3. Add sugar, then eggs, and beat until well mixed.
  4. Add baking powder, almond extract, flour, and then milk to the mixture.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  6. Bake at 325°F (160°C) until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean, approximately 45 minutes.
