Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup whole almonds
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 5 slices bacon, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Spread almonds in a single layer in a shallow pan.
  2. Bake at 300°F for 15 minutes, stirring often until almonds just turn brown.
  3. Combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise; mix well.
  4. Add crumbled bacon, chopped green onion, dill weed, and pepper to the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Blend the mixture, cover, and chill overnight.
  6. Form the cheese mixture into 2 pine cone shapes on a serving platter.
  7. Beginning at the narrow end, press almonds at a slight angle into the cheese mixture in rows.
  8. Continue overlapping rows until all cheese is covered.
  9. Garnish with pine sprigs.
  10. Serve with crackers.
