- 2 lb. beef stew meat ⓘ
- 3 to 4 potatoes ⓘ
- 3 to 4 carrots ⓘ
- 2 ribs celery ⓘ
- 3 small onions ⓘ
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes ⓘ
- 1/4 cup water ⓘ
- 5 Tbsp. Minute tapioca ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. dried marjoram
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme ⓘ
- 1 bay leaf ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Cut beef stew meat into bite-size pieces.
- Peel and cut potatoes into pieces slightly larger than the meat.
- Clean and cut carrots, celery, and onions into 1-inch pieces.
- In a large baking dish or slow cooker, combine all ingredients except for parsley.
- Cover and bake for 5 hours without stirring.
- Just before serving, stir in chopped fresh parsley.
