Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter and mix it with sugar and eggs.
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder together, then add to the wet mixture.
  3. Add sour cream, baking soda, and salt to the mixture.
  4. Mix all ingredients well, then fold in mashed bananas, vanilla, and chopped walnuts.
  5. Pour the batter into a loaf pan or two small pans.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
