Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pecan nuts, chopped fine
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large tub Cool Whip
  • 2 drops lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mix together butter, flour, and chopped pecan nuts.
  2. Pat the mixture over the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake at 300°F for 1 hour.
  4. Let the crust cool completely.
  5. Blend together softened cream cheese, Cool Whip, lemon juice, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  7. Top with cherry pie filling.
  8. Make the dessert a day in advance for best flavor.
