Ingredients

  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups apples
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, cinnamon, salt, and soda in a bowl.
  2. Mix well, then add the chopped and peeled apples and nuts.
  3. Pour the batter into greased loaf pans.
  4. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Remove from pans and sprinkle with sugar while hot.
  6. Wrap the loaves while hot to freeze.
