Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips

Instructions

  1. Combine margarine and sugars until smooth.
  2. Beat in eggs until well blended.
  3. Whisk flour and baking soda together.
  4. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Fold in chopped apples and peanut butter chips.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9‑inch baking dish.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
