Ingredients

  • 2 (No. 303) cans apple slices
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 rounded teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix the apple slices, eggs, and oil together and let stand.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the apple mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
