Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops (1/2-inch thick)
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. apple juice
  • 1 1/2 c. Minute rice
  • 1 c. chunky applesauce

Instructions

  1. Dredge pork chops in flour, salt, pepper, and ground cloves.
  2. Brown chops on both sides in butter in a large skillet.
  3. Add 1/2 cup apple juice; cover and simmer until chops are tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. Keep chops warm on a serving platter.
  4. Bring remaining apple juice to a boil; stir in the Minute rice.
  5. Cover and reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  6. Stir in chunky applesauce.
  7. Place chops on rice to serve.
