Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup finely chopped peeled tart apples
  • 1 cup walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream together the sugar, brown sugar, and butter.
  2. Add the egg and apple juice to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Fold in the finely chopped peeled tart apples and walnuts.
  6. Drop teaspoon-sized portions of dough onto a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.
