Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tart apples, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked Minute rice
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine or butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chopped celery, chopped onion, and poultry seasoning.
  3. Cook and stir until the onion is tender.
  4. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Stir in chopped tart apples, uncooked rice, and ground cinnamon; cover.
  6. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in chopped walnuts and chopped parsley.
