Arlington Brunch is a layered casserole combining ham, sharp cheese, and toasted bread, baked to perfection—ideal for a hearty weekend breakfast or brunch gathering.

Ingredients

  • 12 slices decrusted bread
  • 1 lb sliced shaved ham
  • 3/4 lb sharp cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • dash Worcestershire sauce
  • crushed cornflakes

Instructions

  1. Place 6 buttered slices of bread on the bottom of a casserole dish.
  2. Top with sliced ham and sharp cheese.
  3. Add the remaining slices of bread on top.
  4. Combine eggs, milk, dry mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; mix well.
  5. Pour the milk mixture over the layered bread and refrigerate overnight or several hours.
  6. Before baking, top with crushed cornflakes.
  7. Bake at 300°F for 75 minutes or at 325°F for 90 minutes until golden and cooked through.
