Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs like basil or thyme instead of parsley. If you're looking for a lighter option, you can substitute half of the Cheddar cheese with feta or goat cheese, which complements the artichokes nicely. If you don’t have fine bread crumbs, you can blend regular bread into crumbs or use crushed crackers as a substitute.

Serving Suggestions

This artichoke frittata serves well as a brunch dish alongside a fresh salad or roasted new potatoes. It’s also delicious paired with a side of Greek yogurt or a tomato salsa for a burst of flavor. For a complete meal, consider serving it with a slice of crusty bread or incorporating it into a Mediterranean-inspired spread.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the frittata in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes, or until warmed through. You can also enjoy it cold, making it perfect for a quick snack or light meal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use fresh artichokes instead of marinated ones?

Yes, you can use fresh artichokes, but you'll need to cook and marinate them prior to adding them to the frittata. Steaming or boiling them until tender and then marinating will enhance their flavor and texture.

How can I make this frittata dairy-free?

To make the frittata dairy-free, substitute the Cheddar cheese with a dairy-free cheese alternative or nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor without the dairy. Use plant-based milk in place of eggs if you want a vegan option.

Can I add other vegetables to the frittata?

Absolutely! Feel free to incorporate other vegetables such as spinach, bell peppers, or zucchini. Just make sure to sauté them first to release excess moisture, ensuring the frittata sets properly.
