Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 small package noodles
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cans tomatoes
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup chunked cheese
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook chopped onion in a small amount of shortening until tender.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until the meat separates and changes color.
  3. Add peas and tomatoes, then cook for 20 minutes.
  4. Cook noodles in salted water until al dente.
  5. Layer cooked noodles and meat mixture alternately in a baking dish.
  6. Add chunks of cheese on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour.
