Ingredients

  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 1/4 c. bacon

Instructions

  1. Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
  2. Add cornmeal; combine with beaten egg, milk, and crumbled bacon to dry ingredients.
  3. Fill greased muffin tins two-thirds full.
  4. Bake in a hot oven at 450°F for 15 minutes.
