Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • flour
  • oil
  • 1 medium to large onion
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 3 tsp. lemon juice
  • dash of Tabasco

Instructions

  1. Pound flour into steaks on both sides.
  2. Brown the floured steaks in oil until well browned.
  3. Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, canned tomatoes, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and a dash of Tabasco.
  5. Transfer everything to a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45-60 minutes until the steak is tender and flavors meld.
