Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cut pasta such as ziti or rigatoni
  • 2 c. ricotta cheese
  • 1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 to 3 basil leaves, chopped
  • 3 c. tomato meat sauce

Instructions

  1. Place ricotta cheese in a large bowl.
  2. Add egg yolk and mix well.
  3. Add shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, a pinch of nutmeg, and chopped basil; mix well.
  4. Add 1 1/2 cups of tomato meat sauce and combine thoroughly.
