Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. crisp rice cereal
  • 1 can tomato soup

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef with chopped onion, chopped green pepper, beaten egg, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and rice cereal. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into 10 meatballs. Roll each ball in flour.
  3. Brown the meatballs in hot shortening until evenly browned.
  4. Place browned meatballs in a large casserole dish.
  5. Pour diluted tomato soup (tomato soup mixed with one can of hot water) over the meatballs.
  6. Cover and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until cooked through and bubbly.
