Ingredients

  • 7 lb. ground beef
  • 12 oz. chopped onions
  • 4 oz. green peppers
  • 1 lb. bread (soaked in cold water, then squeezed)
  • 3 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • poultry seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onions and green peppers in garlic and butter for 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Mix all ingredients together, including the sautéed vegetables.
  3. Shape the mixture into loaves.
  4. Rub the top of each loaf with cooking oil to prevent cracks.
  5. Cover the loaves with wax paper.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  7. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
