Ingredients

  • 2 (1 lb 4 oz) cans crushed pineapple, drained well
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 scant cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • butter
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated American cheese

Instructions

  1. Place half of the drained pineapple in a buttered 10x6 inch Pyrex dish.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt, then sprinkle half of this mixture over the pineapple.
  3. Dot the mixture with butter.
  4. Spread half of the mixed cheeses over this layer.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining pineapple, flour mixture, butter, and cheese.
  6. Bake at 325°-350°F for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with toasted pecan pieces.
  8. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
