Ingredients

  • 12 chowder-size hard clams in shells or 1 (12 oz.) can hard clams
  • 1/4 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • few drops hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Drain and chop the clams.
  2. Melt margarine or butter in a pan.
  3. Add parsley flakes, oregano, garlic powder, bread crumbs, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, and hot sauce to the melted margarine.
  4. Mix well and moisten with water if the mixture is too dry.
  5. Fill half of each clam shell or ovenproof dish with the clam mixture.
  6. Bake at 400°F until hot and bubbly, about 10 to 15 minutes.
