Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and margarine; add eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add dry ingredients and sour cream, mixing until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into a 10 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until done when tested.
  5. Allow to cool, then cut into desired pieces.
  6. Optional: sprinkle with powdered sugar glaze flavored with banana.
