Banana Split Freeze
A delightful frozen dessert featuring layers of bananas, ice cream, chocolate, and nuts, topped with whipped cream. Perfect for warm days or special gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 baked and cooled graham cracker crust (9 x 13-inch pan)
- 2 to 3 bananas ⓘ
- 1/2 gallon Neapolitan ice cream, sliced ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts ⓘ
- 1 cup chocolate chips ⓘ
- 1/2 cup oleo ⓘ
- 2 cups powdered sugar ⓘ
- 1 can evaporated milk ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon vanilla ⓘ
- 1 package prepared Dream Whip
- 1 small can crushed pineapple (optional) ⓘ
Instructions
- Slice bananas and arrange them on the graham cracker crust.
- Layer sliced Neapolitan ice cream on top of the bananas.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the ice cream and freeze until firm.
- Combine chocolate chips, oleo, powdered sugar, and evaporated milk in a saucepan.
- Cook and stir until the mixture thickens, then remove from heat and add vanilla. Allow to cool.
- Pour the cooled chocolate sauce over the ice cream layer and freeze again.
- Spread prepared Dream Whip over the frozen dessert.
- Optional: Fold in crushed pineapple or strawberries before topping with Dream Whip.
- Freeze until ready to serve.
