Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup light cream (half&half)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package yeast, active dry
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 18 teaspoon mace
  • 4 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 13 cup currants

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients together.
  2. First dry ingredients, then wet ingredients.
  3. Once a batter is made, pour into cake pan.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes.
  5. Invert, and cool.
