Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. deer meat
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cook the deer meat until done, then chop or shred into smaller pieces.
  2. In a saucepan, combine chopped onion, chopped green pepper, salt, catsup, brown sugar, water, and vinegar.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 45 to 50 minutes.
  4. Serve the barbecue deer meat on buns or toast.
