Ingredients

  • 1 chopped green pepper
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 to 2 stalks chopped celery
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 2 to 3 cans water
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • chopped parsley
  • 1/2 grated carrot
  • 1 pound minute steaks, sauteed

Instructions

  1. Saute green pepper, onion, and celery; drain and put in a large pot.
  2. Add tomato paste, water, ketchup, chopped parsley, and grated carrot to the pot.
  3. Simmer the mixture for 30 minutes.
  4. Saute minute steaks separately, then drain and break into strips or pieces.
  5. Add the broken-up steaks to the sauce and simmer for another 30 minutes.
  6. Serve on hoagie rolls or hard rolls with pickles.
