Ingredients

  • 2 lb. turkey cutlets (skinless)
  • 1 tsp. liquid Butter Buds
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 1/4 c. tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1 c. stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. beef broth
  • 1/2 c. red wine

Instructions

  1. Cut turkey cutlets into 2-inch cubes.
  2. Spray a nonstick skillet with nonfat cooking spray and brown the turkey cubes.
  3. Remove turkey and place in a large casserole dish.
  4. Heat liquid Butter Buds in the skillet, add chopped onion, and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Add all remaining ingredients (wine vinegar, chili sauce, tomato sauce, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, thyme, stewed tomatoes, beef broth, red wine) to the skillet, bring to a boil.
  6. Pour the sauce over the turkey in the casserole dish.
  7. Cover and bake in a 300°F oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until turkey falls apart when probed with a fork.
  8. Serve over steamed rice or as sandwiches on toasted buns.
