Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier guacamole, try using ripe avocados and ensure they're well mashed. If you're looking for a healthier twist, substitute some of the sour cream with Greek yogurt for added protein. You can also customize the heat by adjusting the amount of Tabasco. Serve your guacamole with fresh tortilla chips or as a topping for dishes like Taco Salad Deluxe for a flavorful kick.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this guacamole with crispy tortilla chips or use it as a delicious topping for your favorite Mexican recipes. It's perfect alongside dishes like Peachy Pork Picante Over Rice or as a refreshing side for grilled meats. For added flair, garnish with fresh cilantro or diced tomatoes right before serving to enhance the presentation.

Storage & Reheating

To store leftover guacamole, place it in an airtight container and press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to minimize air exposure, which helps prevent browning. It can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. When ready to enjoy, give it a quick stir, and if needed, add a splash of lemon juice to refresh the flavor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this guacamole ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare this guacamole a few hours in advance. To keep it fresh, store it in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed against the surface to limit exposure to air, which causes browning. Just give it a good stir before serving for the best flavor and texture.

What can I use instead of Worcestershire sauce?

If you prefer not to use Worcestershire sauce, you can substitute it with soy sauce or tamari for a similar umami flavor. Alternatively, a splash of balsamic vinegar can also work to add depth without the fish ingredients found in traditional Worcestershire.

How can I adjust the spiciness of the guacamole?

To control the heat level in your guacamole, start by adding a small amount of Tabasco sauce and taste as you go. You can also include finely chopped jalapeños for a fresh kick or omit the spicy elements altogether for a milder version that everyone can enjoy.
