Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider substituting the oleo with unsalted butter. If jalapeno cheese rolls are unavailable, a combination of cream cheese and diced jalapenos can be used instead. You can adjust the spice level by using less Cajun seasoning or adding fresh chopped jalapenos for extra heat. This dish can also be made with shrimp instead of crawfish for a different twist.

Serving Suggestions

Serve Bayou Crawfish hot, garnished with additional parsley and freshly grated Parmesan cheese for a rich finish. This dish pairs beautifully with a side of garlic bread or a fresh green salad. For a more complete meal, consider serving it alongside Tuna Patio Salad or a light dessert to balance the richness.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, place the mixture in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of half and half to loosen it up, and stir until heated through. Alternatively, you can microwave it in short intervals, stirring frequently to ensure even heating.
