  1. Melt chocolate and butter in a saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Cool slightly.
  3. Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixer bowl on high speed for 10 minutes.
  4. Blend in the chocolate mixture on low speed.
  5. Add flour, beating just to blend. Stir in nuts.
  6. Spread in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
  8. Do not overbake.
  9. Cool in the pan; cut into squares.
