A hearty baked bean and ground beef casserole with smoky bacon, sweet and tangy flavors, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground hamburger meat
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 2 cans Boston baked beans or pork and beans
  • 1 onion
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • mustard
  • bacon
  • brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then drain excess fat.
  2. Place the cooked beef into a baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix canned tomatoes, baked beans, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and brown sugar.
  4. Pour the bean mixture over the ground beef in the baking dish and stir to combine.
  5. Lay strips of bacon on top of the mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered at 325°F (160°C) for about 1 hour, until bubbling and heated through.
