Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 1 pound hamburger ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon butter ⓘ
- 3/4 cup brown sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 cup ketchup ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vinegar ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard ⓘ
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (12 to 16 oz.) package Smok-Y-Links, sliced ⓘ
- 1 pound can lima or butter beans, drained ⓘ
- 1 pound can kidney beans, drained ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) or prepare slow cooker.
- In a skillet, cook chopped onion and hamburger until browned. Add butter and cook for a few more minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, ketchup, salt, vinegar, dry mustard, and pepper to make the sauce.
- Add cooked meat mixture, sliced Smok-Y-Links, drained lima or butter beans, and drained kidney beans into the bowl. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or slow cooker.
- Bake in the oven for 1 1/2 hours or cook in the slow cooker on low for 8 hours, stirring occasionally if desired.
