Beef And Chicken Soup
A hearty and flavorful beef and chicken soup with vegetables, perfect for comforting meals and suitable for family dinners or cold days.
Ingredients
- 1 chicken back and neck ⓘ
- 1 beef chuck knuckle or 1 to 2 marrow bones ⓘ
- 2 large onions ⓘ
- 4 medium carrots ⓘ
- 4 celery stalks ⓘ
- 2 to 3 cabbage leaves or cabbage stem ⓘ
- 2 cloves garlic ⓘ
- 1 large or 2 small bay leaves ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. paprika ⓘ
- 1 Lipton chicken soup broth
Instructions
- Put all ingredients into a 4-quart pot and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil, then add paprika.
- Simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, then add Lipton chicken soup broth.
- Simmer for another 5 minutes.
- If the soup is too strong, add some more water.
- Strain the soup and place the carrots back in.
