Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean beef
  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • dash of garlic powder
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large nonstick skillet with an ovenproof handle, brown the lean beef and chopped onion.
  2. Drain off any accumulated fat.
  3. Add sliced potatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the skillet.
  4. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of the skillet.
  6. In a medium bowl, lightly beat the eggs with a fork.
  7. Blend in the plain yogurt.
  8. Spread the yogurt-egg mixture over the meat and potato layer.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour, or until the topping is set.
  10. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
