Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced onions
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 pound round steak, cut into cubes
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder

Instructions

  1. Saute garlic and sliced onions in 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet until tender.
  2. Remove the onions and garlic from the skillet.
  3. Combine flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, and pepper, then roll the cubed beef in this mixture.
  4. Put remaining oil in the skillet.
  5. Brown the meat in the skillet.
  6. Place the cooked onions on top of the meat, add the bouillon cube dissolved in 1 cup of boiling water, and sprinkle curry powder.
  7. Cover and simmer for 1 1/4 hours.
  8. Add tomato sauce and reheat.
  9. Serve the beef curry over rice.
