Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground round
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Taco seasoning mix
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Chopped tomato
  • Grated cheese
  • Black olives
  • Cubed avocado
  • Sour cream
  • Fritos

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and chopped onion together until crumbly and browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning mix to the meat and onion in a large frying pan.
  3. Mix evenly to combine.
  4. Add tomato paste and water; simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. On a serving plate, pour 3/4 to 1 cup of the meat mixture.
  6. Top with grated cheese, shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, chopped onion, black olives, cubed avocado, and sour cream.
  7. Serve with Fritos or tortilla chips for scooping, or pour meat over chips to eat with a fork.
