Beef-Olive Ragout

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round steak, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 c. minced celery
  • 1/2 c. sliced onion
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/4 c. red wine
  • 1/4 c. sliced stuffed olives
  • salt and pepper
  • cooked noodles

Instructions

  1. Brown meat in oil; add celery, onion, green pepper, mushrooms and garlic.
  2. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in soup, wine, olives, salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Serve over cooked noodles.
  6. Serves 4 to 5.
