Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef round steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 c. sliced onions
  • 1/3 c. dry red wine
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (11 oz.) can Cheddar cheese soup
  • 3/4 c. beef broth
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. hot cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Brown meat and garlic in oil.
  2. Add onions and cook for 2 minutes longer.
  3. Blend wine, tomato sauce, soup, broth, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and simmer for about 50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve over hot cooked rice.
