  10. Cook gently until the gravy thickens, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of red wine while simmering the beef. You can substitute the beef with venison or bison for a leaner option. If you prefer a thicker stew, increase the flour mixture added to the milk. Additionally, using leftovers from Easy Beef can enhance the depth of flavor in this dish.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this hearty hunter's stew with crusty bread or over a bed of mashed potatoes for a comforting meal. It pairs beautifully with a side salad or roasted vegetables for added freshness. For a complete dinner experience, consider serving it alongside Frozen Bread Dough Reubens for a delightful combination.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover stew in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, gently warm it on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through. For longer storage, freeze the stew in portions for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before reheating.
