Beef Rolls Cordon Bleu
Juicy ground beef patties filled with Swiss cheese and Canadian bacon, rolled and baked to perfection, then served with a savory mushroom sauce for a hearty meal.
Ingredients
- 3 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1 tsp. dried vegetable flakes ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced Swiss cheese, halved crosswise ⓘ
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. sliced Canadian bacon ⓘ
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs ⓘ
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine ⓘ
- 1 can condensed golden mushroom soup ⓘ
- 1 c. milk ⓘ
- 1 medium size tomato ⓘ
- 1/4 c. water ⓘ
Instructions
- Mix ground beef lightly with salt and vegetable flakes in a large bowl.
- Shape the mixture into 8 patties about 1/4-inch thick.
- Place a slice of Swiss cheese and Canadian bacon on top of each patty.
- Roll up each patty jelly roll fashion to enclose the filling.
- Beat eggs in a shallow dish.
- Place seasoned bread crumbs in a separate shallow dish.
- Dip each beef roll in beaten eggs, then roll in bread crumbs to coat.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Cook the beef rolls until browned on all sides, about 15-20 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine condensed golden mushroom soup, milk, and water.
- Heat and stir until smooth and heated through.
- Serve the beef rolls with the mushroom sauce and tomato wedges.
