Jumbo Cornburger
A hearty cornburger featuring seasoned ground beef layered with corn, peppers, and cheese, baked to perfection—ideal for family dinners and comfort food lovers.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb ground beef ⓘ
- 2 slightly beaten eggs ⓘ
- 8 oz can tomato sauce ⓘ
- 3/4 tsp salt ⓘ
- dash of pepper ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 12 oz can whole kernel corn ⓘ
- 1/2 cup medium coarse cracker crumbs
- 1 slightly beaten egg ⓘ
- 1/4 cup diced pepper ⓘ
- 1/4 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp chopped canned pimento ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp salt ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp rubbed sage ⓘ
Instructions
- Combine ground beef with the beaten eggs, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce; spread half of the mixture in an 8 1/4 x 1 3/4-inch round or an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Combine remaining ingredients except tomato and cheese; spoon over the meat layer.
- Cover with the remaining meat mixture.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 1 hour.
- In the last 5 minutes of baking, arrange tomatoes on top and sprinkle with cheese.
