Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef stew meat
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. instant beef bouillon
  • 1/2 cup cold coffee
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Place beef stew meat in a bowl with onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Marinate for 1 hour.
  2. Heat margarine and oil in a skillet. Add marinated meat and sear until browned.
  3. Add instant beef bouillon, cold coffee, and water to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Blend flour in 1/2 cup water to make a slurry. Stir into the skillet and cook until the gravy thickens.
  6. Serve the beef tips in gravy over noodles or rice.
