Ingredients

  • 2 lb beef
  • 3/4 to 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp meat tenderizer

Instructions

  1. Cut beef into thin 2–3 inch strips.
  2. Toss beef with 1/4 to 1/2 cup soy sauce and 3 Tbsp meat tenderizer, cover with foil and refrigerate at least 2 hours or until ready to use.
  3. Heat a pan over medium heat and fry the marinated beef strips until cooked through.
  4. Dice green pepper and onion into rings.
  5. Sauté onion and green pepper in 2 Tbsp butter with 1/4 cup soy sauce until tender.
  6. Add cooked rice to the pan, stir in 2 Tbsp butter and 1/4 cup soy sauce, and coat the rice well.
  7. Place a layer of rice on a serving platter, top with sautéed onion and cooked beef, and serve hot.
