Beer Baked Beans

Ingredients
- 1 lb. spicy bulk sausage ⓘ
- 1 medium onion ⓘ
- 1 (48 oz.) jar Randall Great Northern beans ⓘ
- 1 (15 to 15 1/2 oz.) can pinto beans ⓘ
- 1 (15 to 15 1/2 oz.) can black beans ⓘ
- 1 (15 to 15 1/2 oz.) can white beans
- 1 c. brown sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 c. bottled smoky flavor barbecue sauce ⓘ
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. Dijon-style mustard ⓘ
- 8 to 12 oz. beer ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown the sausage, breaking it up, and sauté the onion in the same pan.
- Drain the sausage and onion mixture and crumble into a large bowl.
- Add all the beans, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, mustard, and beer to the bowl.
- Pour the mixture into a bean pot or casserole dish.
- Bake uncovered at 300°F (150°C) for 4 to 5 hours, checking for moisture content around 3 1/2 hours.
- Stir in more beer if the beans become too dry.
