Ingredients

  • 2 (3 oz.) packages cherry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cherry gelatin and boiling water.
  2. Add the crushed pineapple and cherry pie filling to the gelatin mixture.
  3. Pour the mixture into an 8 x 10-inch pan and chill until set.
  4. Soften the cream cheese and mix it well with the sugar.
  5. Blend in the sour cream and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the set gelatin layer.
  7. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top before serving.
