Ingredients

  • 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 green or yellow apples, washed, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 qt. heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup Calvados or apple brandy
  • 3 oz. butter
  • 10 to 12 small white potatoes, washed and thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a large baking pan.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the pan.
  4. Add the sliced apples around the chicken.
  5. Pour the Calvados and heavy cream over the chicken and apples.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours or until the chicken is cooked through.
