- Brown the cubed stewing beef in a little olive oil until well browned.
- Add sliced onions, minced garlic (if using), chopped green peppers, chopped tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, and chopped parsley to the beef.
- Simmer the mixture until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
- Add A.1. sauce and cognac, then cook for an additional 1 minute.
- Serve hot, preferably with fried potatoes.
