Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 pkg. Sloppy Joe mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 large bell pepper, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1 pkg. crescent rolls
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook chopped onion, celery, and bell pepper in a small amount of oil until tender.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until it turns gray and is cooked through.
  3. Line a greased casserole dish with half of the crescent rolls.
  4. Pour the meat-vegetable mixture into the prepared crust.
  5. Pour the can of tomato sauce over the meat mixture.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  7. Cover with the remaining half of the crescent rolls.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
