These rich, chewy cookies combine chocolate chips, grated chocolate, and nuts for a delightful treat suited for parties, family gatherings, or everyday indulgence.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter, softened ⓘ
- 1 cup granulated sugar ⓘ
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar ⓘ
- 2 eggs ⓘ
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract ⓘ
- 2 cups all-purpose flour ⓘ
- 2 1/2 cups rolled oats ⓘ
- 1 tsp. baking soda ⓘ
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 12 oz. bag chocolate chips ⓘ
- 8 oz. grated semi-sweet or milk chocolate bar ⓘ
- 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix thoroughly.
- Stir in the chocolate chips, grated chocolate bar, and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
- Roll the dough into small balls no larger than ping pong ball size.
- Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 6 to 7 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
