Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 package (4 oz.) vanilla pudding (not instant)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cook margarine, vanilla pudding, and milk, adding salt; cool to lukewarm.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  3. Beat eggs; add to pudding mixture along with 2 cups of flour.
  4. Add yeast mixture to the dough.
  5. Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
  6. Turn out on a breadboard and add more flour as needed.
  7. Blend the dough well.
  8. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size.
  9. Punch down the dough and let it rise again.
  10. Turn out on a board and roll out the dough.
  11. Spread with a mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon, and soft butter.
  12. Roll the dough, cut into slices, and place in a greased 9x13-inch pan.
  13. Let the rolls rise again.
  14. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
